Driving in Dublin

We picked up a car from the airport, I had ordered a small car like Ford Fiesta, when at the desk the girl offered us an upgrade to which I said no thanks, after fluffing around we were on a bus to pick the car up and lo and behold here sits this shiny black A3 Audi, looks like she used the language barrier to have her way with me, pretty happy with the car though, and I think she may be roight the diesel uses a lot less fuel.

Thankfully we got a Navman to help find our way, which has been awesome, expect the first drive we took from the apartment, after travelling a few miles we realised we had left it back at the apartment, it took over an hour to find our way back and that was only after stopping at a servo and buying a Dublin Street Map Book, we had an interesting ride home.

Having had a walk and unexpected drive around Dublin we decided the following day to take a drive out of town and headed up the coast to a place called Howth, where we stopped for breakfast of savory crepes, hey were delicious. We walked off the added calories along the pier, with the laziest wind cutting through us all the way, it was freezing but invigorating too, we followed up the rest of the day driving from one town to the next and taking walks around castles and beautiful gardens, the odd church or 2 and stopping for a refreshing drink with some locals in a small town called Rush, why it is called Rush was beyond me as nobody seemed to be in one! The beer was cold and the company entertaining.
